SCHOOL SPONSORSHIP

Bulava aims to support those affected by the war. Schools in Ukraine have been challenged to provide adequate resources and materials to their students. 

With the help of the EBS Team in the IT department of Johns Hopkins University and Health Systems, the children in Rokytne, Ukraine, have received much needed support. 

The war has affected every single Ukrainian’s life. The war has also stolen the childhood of an entire generation. Ukraine’s children now face unique challenges. They have spent most of the 2022 school year in bomb shelters, without electricity, and without the resources necessary to complete basic lessons to keep up with their education. Thanks to the work, dedication, and donations of the John Hopkins team,  a piece of this stolen childhood has returned to these 198 children. The team’s donations have personally showed these children and their community that there is a world out there that cares about them, that has not forgotten about them in these dark times.

Over the course of several shipments, Bulava’s sponsored school has received:

• Markers

• Pencils

• Pens

• Light-reflecting vests

• Stickers

• Folders

• Office supplies

In total, the support of the John Hopkins team exceeds $7,000 in in-kind donations. Bulava is able to achieve its mission through the help, support, and kindness of people such as those at Johns Hopkins.
