This fund is designed to support Bulava's partners in Ukraine that deliver food, medicine, and aid to animals in need around Ukraine. In the past, Bulava has used its funds to buy food for zoos under artillery fire to help animals, buy food for animal shelters, and buy medicine for vets. Your donations will help us provide our ongoing support to our partners and furry friends in Ukraine. Recently, Bulava donated over $2,000 to zoos suffering from lack of resources due to ruzzian shelling within the areas. The funds were used to purchase food to keep animals within the zoo fed during heavy fire.

Additionally, Bulava has supported DaiLapuDryg, an animal shelter operating in central Ukraine that has taken in homeless animals during the war. Bulava's support allowed the animals to have food and supplies as the shelter's numbers grew significantly during 2022. Most of the shelter's animals lost their owners and homes due to active war activity.

We are always happy to share more of our success stories. Please feel free to reach out to us or visit our blog on our website for all of the incredible things we accomplish with your donations.

PROJECT BARK

Project Highlights

  • Providing food to animal shelters

Overall, Ukraine has seen a rise in the number of homeless animals as well as animals in shelters. Many animals have lost their owners due to Russian rockets, tanks, and bullets. Other animals have lost their owners and homes simply because people had to flee dangerous environments without time to arrange for care for their pets or without the ability to bring their pets with them.

  • Feeding polar bears at the Mykolaiv Zoo

In the Spring of 2022, the Mykolaiv Zoo was hit by rockets. As the zoo focused on rebuilding and animal safety, access to food supplies for the animals was severely limited. Throughout 2022, Bulava made several donations to the zoo to provide frozen fish and other food for feeding the polar bears at the Mykolaiv zoo. Similarly, we had additional funds go towards feeding other animals.
